11/3/2019 C&MA Prayer Requests
  1. Lansdowne Alliance Church (Baltimore, MD) – Pray for wisdom and fruitfulness as the church moves out of redevelopment. Pray for meaningful partnerships with Lansdowne Elementary and the Police Athletic League. Pray for relationships in the community through outreach and gospel conversations.
  2. Lebanon – Demonstrations and road closures around the country have continued daily since October 17. Please pray for a peaceful resolution to the current crisis. Also, continue to pray for God’s protection for the Alliance family in Lebanon, for believers to live out a biblical response to the situation, and for opportunities to point their neighbors to Christ.
  3. Senegal – The son of an Alliance Ecuadorian worker couple in Senegal is experiencing serious complications from an appendix operation. Pray for God’s healing touch and for the family as they seek options for a medical evacuation.
10/20/2019 Time to Pray – Faith in the Midst of Chaos

Dear Lord, help me – every single morning – to find faith in the midst of chaos. Give me the desire and ability to see You, hear You, talk to You, and give thanks to You. And as I do, I pray that I will draw nearer and nearer to You, and that my faith will multiply exponentially as I understand in new, deeper ways that You are everything I ever hoped You would be. And so much more. Amen. ~Kelly O’Dell Stanley

10/13/2019 Time to Pray – Planning for the Future

Help us, Lord, to look at the past and present, so that we may better plan for the future, and to face our strength and weaknesses with honesty and wisdom. Help us to be open to your guidance as we discuss and plan for the future, and grant to us both generous imagination and practical plans. Amen.

10/6/2019 Time to Pray – Starting Something New

O God, we are about to start something new. We believe that it is what you would like us to do. In our most confident moments, we think that we can do it well, but sometimes we are not so sure.

You know the risks, God, and you know our weaknesses and our strengths. Keep us from confusion and guard us from pride or fear. May we know the happiness of working together for you and the quiet joy of doing our best. Amen.

9/29/2019 Time to Pray – The Culture

What we say or do, Jesus, is no longer clear. Not so long ago the lines were sharply drawn. Now it seems as if no line is clear, rules are an invitation to do something else and customs change so fast as the weather.

Grant me the grace to see things as you see them, Lord, and the strength and courage to live in the light. Amen.
